Your place, our place… We don’t mind!
Our staff have experience with a variety of GDBMS software, including acQuire, DataShed, Geobank, and relational databases like SQL Server. We also utilise Redgate SQL Server Toolbelt and various utility software for data manipulation. We can come to you.
Three main data models that we have on offer are:
- Cloud Hosted: Data is stored by Libertas on an Azure VM based in Australia, Libertas manages VM, SQL Server and GDBMS, including updates and patches. Microsoft (Azure) manages cyber security and data protection.
- On-premises: Your company retains direct control of your geological data using your existing GDBMS structure and systems.
- Hybrid: Data is stored on a VM in the cloud that is based in Australia that is under direct control your company data, including cyber security and data protection. Libertas manages SQL Server and GDBMS including updates and patches.
Cost-Effective solution for Mineral Exploration
Exploration data is often recorded and stored in a many formats, including Excel sheets, Access databases, and a variety of mining software databases. This method is not ideal for a geological database, as the data tends to be unstructured, resulting in frequent data loss or oversight and making QAQC difficult. Junior exploration companies with low market capitalistions often cannot afford the cost of proprietary GDBMS, unlike larger companies that can invest in specialised software.
At Libertas offer junior exploration companies a cloud-hosted GDBMS. This allows your company to allocate funds towards exploration activities without the need to purchase GDBMS software. The goal of this arrangement is to provide juniors with a structured and well-managed database, enabling them to transition to their own managed geological database as they achieve success and advance their exploration projects. With this setup, you only pay for web hosting and our time at Libertas with no upfront software costs.
